Navigating the regulatory landscape

Understanding the impact of regulations on our economy and future growth is crucial. This page explores how current regulatory systems affect businesses and outlines the fundamental changes needed to foster a more dynamic and prosperous community.

Foundations of economic growth

A healthy and vibrant economy forms the bedrock of our Society.. Unfortunately, slow economic growth has led to fewer resources for everyone. While some governments might misallocate funds, I believe a fundamental understanding of priorities is missing. Businesses require cheap and reliable energy, and neglecting this has put us in a difficult position. We have become overly reliant on trade exceptions and relatively low-paid labour.

Hindrances to progress

We have not invested enough in the technological advancements that boost productivity, and we have relied too heavily on past economic advantages. To re-establish ourselves as a top-tier player, a fundamental reset is required, especially in our regulatory systems. Current regulations often stifle business growth, effectively punishing rather than encouraging expansion.

Reclaiming our sovereignty

Our sovereignty remains recoverable due to our strong neighbour, excellent education system, and advanced technologies. However, everything hinges on our ability to tackle tough challenges. If we are unwilling or unable to do so, our sovereignty will diminish. This requires strong economic decisions, including access to cheaper energy, which historically fuelled our wealth and influence, especially with the first-mover advantage of Niagara Falls in the age of electricity.

Addressing common concerns

A common concern is the excessive time it takes to get applications approved and questions answered. In the fast-paced era of AI, businesses need to respond quickly to market conditions and opportunities. The current slow and cumbersome regulatory environment makes our business response rigid, slow, unproductive, and ultimately, ineffective.
